We recently found this missing photo from our photos. In 2010, we checked single line between Olziit and Khuld soums in Dundgobi province and found several electrocuted birds including 2 Ospreys, 4 Black kites, 2 Common buzzards, 1 Great cormorant, 2 Raven, 7 Saker falcons, 4 Common kestrels and one Lesser kestrel under the pole. It is 15kV pole and 71km long line. A large number of raptors electrocuted on recently erected electricity distribution lines in the open landscapes of the Mongolian steppe. Upland Buzzards and Saker Falcons, characteristic raptors of these bioregions, were among those found to be electrocuted. But here also, most of them were migratory species which like to perch on the pole during the migration periods. Ornithologists have already produced several recommendations and mitigation plan that how to solve and prevent from this threat! There are some ways to figure out this threat! but Mongolian Government still does not pay any serious attention for this issue. It was seven years ago, the line is still not fixed and we do not know that how many birds are killed on this line since that or before that as well.
